Arkadium Invents InHabit, a Dynamic Editorial Product Built to Innovate the Newsroom

TripleLift Alum Tapped to Grow Company Business Prospects and Scale Publisher and Brands Use of New Artificial Intelligence Tool, InHabit

New York – August 21, 2017 – Arkadium (www.Arkadium.com), the company innovating visual, interactive content for more than 450 of the world’s leading publishers, today announced the hire of its new Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development, Dan Martin. Martin will lead Arkadium’s client acquisition efforts through the introduction of InHabit, a new product offering AI and interactive content tools to publishers, brands, and agencies.

“There is no question that Dan is the sales executive best-equipped to help Arkadium realize its goal of reinventing interactive content at scale, for the very best digital publishers and brands in the world,” said Arkadium president, Kenny Rosenblatt. “Nobody we met rivals Dan for his clarity of strategic vision, operating experience, and the deep network of relationships he has developed over his long and successful career.”

Prior to joining Arkadium, Martin was Vice President and Head of Global Business Development at TripleLift, where he was responsible for building, scaling and managing the company’s global publishing division. He helped architect the go-to-market strategy and execution of TripleLift’s publishing platform, ultimately establishing the company as one of the world’s largest native advertising platforms through direct partnership with thousands of publishers.

Earlier in his career, Martin also served as Head of North American Sales & Business Development at InMobi, where he led the New York office launch team and spearheaded InMobi’s North American strategic partnerships with premium publishers, application developers, and brands. Throughout his professional trajectory, Martin has had diverse operating experience successfully driving results for innovative startups and Fortune 500 companies alike—including IAC, Zipcar, and HotJobs.

“Arkadium is the best kept secret in Silicon Alley. With more than 17 years of experience building interactive content and technology for the likes of Microsoft, Gannett Digital, Hearst and CNN, Arkadium’s DNA is aligned with the future of digital content and I couldn’t be happier to join this extraordinary team and introduce InHabit to the world.”

InHabit is the latest offering in Arkadium’s line of interactive content solutions that are built to elevate audience engagement, strengthen brand loyalty, and create additional incremental revenue streams for publishers and advertisers. Its patent-pending technology leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to establish context by reading any article and dynamically inserting an interactive editorial unit that’s intentionally designed to engage the reader with factually relevant and functionally interesting experiences within the article it appears on. The dynamic editorial units – which the company calls “ƒactives™” – are conceived and written by Arkadium’s in-house editorial staff and leverage AI to dynamically translate big data sets in order to populate articles with relevant contextual content. Each factive can serve potentially infinite variations of data and produce complimentary, highly engaging content that is relevant, sophisticated, timely and brand-safe.

“Content today is being consumed in previously unimaginable ways across social platforms and experienced in mobile first, connected device environments,” said Martin. “There’s a tremendous opportunity for publishers and brands to leverage their content, with the right technology, to engage consumers unlike ever before. Through an extraordinary combination of human editorial, AI, and machine learning, InHabit provides publishers with the tools to capitalize on this opportunity – and create scalable, dynamic interactive storytelling experiences that truly captures their audiences’ attention.”
